MY STORY
There are so many people in the world who never have the opportunity to pursue the career they love. I’m not one of them. I love what I do and since starting my career, I’m thrilled to say that I’ve learned from so many trained and experienced professionals in my field. I know that I still have so much to learn from others in the industry. I’m a hard worker, dedicated, and excited to see what projects could benefit from my unique skill set(s).

Provides Systems Engineering support to a military Field Operating Agency that operates globally.

OWNER, PRINCIPAL IT CONSULTANT, AND PHOTOGRAPHER, WANDERING STAG, LLC
I started this company as a way to advance my photography and be compensated for helping people with their IT requests outside of my primary day to day job.

SENIOR CONSULTANT/SYSTEMS ENGINEER II, INFORELIANCE CORPORATION/ECS
Provided Systems Engineering support to a military Field Operating Agency that operates globally.
July 2012 - November 2014
NETWORK OPERATIONS LEAD AND SR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR, GENERAL DYNAMICS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Managed a team of 18 personnel performing Cyber Security, Configuration Management, Help Desk/Service Desk, Information Assurance, Network Administration/Engineering, and System Administration/Engineering duties. I became the Technical Lead for several projects including some that had/have influence on local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
December 2009 - June 2012
SITE LEAD, SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR III, AND USER SPECIALIST V, ENGINEERING SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS, INC.
Hired as the technical lead for a help desk supporting a global military agency, I trained and helped 12 other help desk personnel (in addition to 3k users at 220+ locations) - which got cut to 5 personnel in January 2011. At the same time I became the Help Desk manager and Site Lead for the company. This role required lots of extra hours as we moved a military Field Operating Agencies headquarters from one base to another base.
March 2008 - December 2009
CONTENT MANAGER, ENGINEERING SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS, INC.
Provided management and consulting services for Livelink and SharePoint systems. Was being groomed as a technical writer.
August 2007 - March 2008
TECHNICAL CONTROL OFFICER, US ARMY
This position taught me most of the network engineering I know and the more deep in the weeds technical knowledge of how signals are transmitted/received on networks and what to do when there are issues. It also provided me with most of my knowledge on cryptographic devices.
April 2007 - August 2007
COMSEC CLERK, US ARMY
Worked in the Army's third largest COMSEC vault for a short period. Full time COMSEC duties were not for me so I ended up getting transferred.
March 2005 - April 2007
COMSEC CLERK AND SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR II/III, US ARMY
In Germany I was the primary on-call Systems Administrator for several systems that supported United States European Command (EUCOM) and several other major US military commands across Europe. I was selected to serve on the Deployable Communications Package - Strategic Team (DCP-S Team) which was made up of hand selected individuals after proving their technical knowledge. We could stand up unclassified and classified military networks anywhere in Europe within 24 hours of arriving on-site.

ASSISTANT NETWORK AND SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR, BIG SANDY HIGH SCHOOL
While attending high school I helped with the IT administration tasks for the school. I also assisted and taught students and teachers on how to perform basic to advanced IT tasks.
